HC-SN (silicon nitride / Si₃N₄)

This is a fine- Ceramics , which offers excellent thermal shock resistance and high-temperature strength. It has low thermal expansion and offers corrosion resistance and electrical insulation, making it suitable for high-load applications.

Summary

Excellent thermal shock resistance and high-temperature strength

Due to its low coefficient of thermal expansion, HC-SN has excellent thermal shock resistance among fne ceramics and is resistant to cracking even in harsh environments where rapid cooling and heating are repeatedly applied.
It has high bending strength at room temperature and maintains its strength even high temperature. Fracture toughness of HC-SN is also several times greater than that of alumina.
It is widely used as a molten aluminum component because of its excellent corrosion resistance to molten aluminum and high chemical stability,
It is highly rigid, lightweight, and maintains electrical insulation even at high temperatures, making it suitable for use in high-temperature and high-load environments such as engine parts, bearings, and semiconductor manufacturing equipment components.
