Rare Material Division's metal products are manufactured under consistent quality control. Those metal products are used in a variety of industrial applications, including magnetic materials, magneto-optical recording materials, hydrogen storage materials and superconducting materials. We offer products in various shapes according to our customers’ needs and applications, such as blocks, chips, powders, foils and plates.

Features (Product Lineup)
Our products lineups are Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Sc (on request). We do not handle Ce and Eu in powder or chip form, as they are easily oxidized. TRE (Total Rare Earth) purity is 99-99.9% as standard products. Small orders such as a few grams are also available.

QIs it possible to create an alloy with other metals?
NYC melts and casts rare earth metals in-house using a large vacuum melting furnace. We manufacture alloy products from mixed rare earth alloy products to alloys of rare earth with other metals (Fe, Co, Al, Ni, Cu, etc.). Please use the contact form for details such as composition, weight and shape.
QWhat shapes can you machine?
Melted and cast rare earth metals can be processed into plates, foils, rods, disks, etc. with our/our partners’ processing technologies. Some metals, such as cerium and europium, may become oxidized and catch fire, so please ask us details in advance.
QPlease tell me how the items are packaged.
In order to prevent oxidation of the surface, the product is packed in oil.
Please use after cleaning with volatile solvents.
Other than Ce and Eu, aluminum laminated package is available for vacuum- or argon gas-enclosed packing.
