Heat-, corrosion-, and acid-resistant coating materials (iconos™)

It is a solution raw material for tantalum, niobium, and other difficult-to-solve elements. It has excellent handling properties and is useful in various applications such as catalysts, film deposition, and sol-gel.

summary

New material series of rare metals in aqueous solution

Heat, corrosion, and acid resistant coating materials are coating agents used to protect base materials in high temperature environments or in corrosive atmospheres such as acids and chemicals.
Mitsui Kinzoku's "iconos™" is a new series of aqueous solutions of rare metals such as tantalum and niobium, which are easy to handle because they are liquids, highly reactive, and capable of depositing films with excellent corrosion resistance and other properties using low energy.
It is expected to be utilized in a wide range of fields to inhibit corrosion and provide special functions, such as improving the life of metallic and carbon materials in special environments.

Characteristics and Strengths

  1. Excellent heat resistance, corrosion resistance, and acid resistance

  2. Long-term stability and easy handling

  3. Extensive lineup

  4. Shortened manufacturing process
