MIYABIKO™ Aesthetic Preservation (Stain-Resistant) Coating Agent

Technology to Preserve Beautiful Architecture in All Its Beauty
Preserving the value of architecture for the future with an invisible coating.

MIYABIKO™ (formerly STi and Titania High Coat™) is a stain-resistant coating designed to protect the beauty, elegance, and appearance of buildings over the long term.
It repels dirt, minimizes deterioration, and preserves the inherent “elegance” of the material itself, passing it on to future generations. We quietly support the value of architecture.
Based on our track record of more than 250 projects, we have confirmed that our products offer high durability, with effects lasting 10 to 20 years or more.
Reflecting the architect’s vision—“to preserve beautiful architecture in its original beauty”—in the design philosophy, we have achieved both anti-adhesion and substrate protection.

That challenge,
Mitsui Kinzoku "MIYABIKO™"We'll solve it with this coating."

01 Stain-Resistant Technology That Preserves Aesthetics Over Time

By preventing dirt from adhering in the first place, it helps prevent whitening and uneven discoloration. It preserves the natural transparency and texture of glass and exterior materials, keeping them looking beautiful for a long time.

02 Long-life design that does not damage the substrate

Catalysts Since it does not involve a chemical reaction, it does not cause substrate degradation, thereby providing both anti-fouling performance and substrate protection. This is a reliable coating designed for long-term use.

03 Reducing the Cleaning Burden at Its Root

Since it resists dirt, you can reduce the frequency of cleaning. It significantly reduces the effort and cost of maintenance—even in high-altitude or large-area settings—and improves operational efficiency.

Mitsui Kinzoku Reasons Why It Is Chosen

Stain-Resistant Technology That Preserves the Aesthetic Appeal of Buildings

Based on the material technology of Mitsui Kinzoku , MIYABIKO™ achieves both aesthetic preservation and substrate protection. A new option for stain protection that helps preserve the building’s appearance for years to come.

Hypotheses on the Stain-Resistance Mechanism of Uncoated Glass

Dirt that adheres to glass surfaces due to static electricity is hydrophobic, making it difficult for water to wet it, so it won't wash off in the rain.

Field Trial

About 10 years ago, we conducted a field test of a stain-resistant coating at Ohmoto-gumi’s headquarters building. At that time, we applied anti-soiling coatings from five different companies to separate halves of a window pane and conducted a long-term comparative study. And then, ten years later—.

A comparison of actual changes over time showed that surfaces treated with MIYABIKO™ retained their appearance the best, confirming their high stain-resistant performance. These case studies demonstrate how MIYABIKO™ maintains its transparency and beauty over the long term in real-world environments.

Verification of the Glass Surface's Wettability (Hydrophilicity)

Founded in Okayama in 1907, Ohmoto-gumi is a general construction company that has supported the development of social infrastructure for over 100 years. In addition to the civil engineering sector, which focuses on infrastructure development, the company has been involved in numerous projects nationwide in the architectural sector—including commercial and logistics facilities—and has built a reputation for its advanced technical expertise and proven track record.

The "Aoyama OHMOTO Building," completed in 2016 along Antique Street in Minami-Aoyama, Tokyo, serves as a landmark symbolizing this journey. Housed in this building, which serves as the company’s Tokyo headquarters, the flagship office combines sophisticated design with environmental considerations and makes a striking impression on the cityscape.

Application Examples

Anti-stain coatings for building materials (primarily glass, as well as concrete, siding, etc.)—with a proven track record of numerous successful applications and effectiveness lasting 10 to 20 years.
